VITALDOCTOR is developing a new generation of patient monitoring technology for hospitals, emergency medical services and other healthcare environments. The company aims to enable vital signs to be captured continuously and wirelessly, analyzed automatically and made centrally available to healthcare professionals.

The platform combines wearable sensor technology with a digital monitoring infrastructure and is designed to monitor multiple vital parameters across multiple patients simultaneously. VITALDOCTOR is particularly targeting healthcare environments in which monitoring today is still largely intermittent and several hours may pass between individual vital-sign assessments.

“This financing is above all a strong vote of confidence in our technology, our team and the long-term development of VITALDOCTOR,” says Jonathan Botchoua, Founder and CEO of VITALDOCTOR. “Our ambition is not to build another medical wearable. We are working to establish a new technological infrastructure for continuous patient monitoring – scalable, clinically usable and designed to provide healthcare professionals with an up-to-date view of their patients even beyond traditional intensive-care monitoring environments.”

The newly raised capital will primarily support further development of the company's hardware and software platform, industrialization and preparations for commercial market entry.

VITALDOCTOR is pursuing a patient-centered monitoring architecture in which data from multiple physiological parameters are brought together within a common platform, continuously analyzed and made available both at the point of care and through a centralized digital infrastructure. The system is designed to support the parallel monitoring of larger patient populations and help healthcare professionals identify clinically relevant changes in patient condition at an earlier stage.

The company is already working with clinical and industrial partners on the further development and validation of its technology. In parallel, the platform is being developed for a range of medical environments, including general wards, postoperative care and emergency medical services.

“With this multi-million-euro financing, we have created the foundation for the next stage of VITALDOCTOR's development,” Botchoua adds. “Our goal is to build a system that is not only technologically powerful, but can also be reliably integrated into real-world medical workflows.”

With the successful completion of its Pre-Seed financing round, VITALDOCTOR has reached another important milestone on its path towards making continuous patient monitoring more broadly available beyond traditional intensive-care environments.
